The Concorde Xtra Aluminium Egg Bar is part of the Concorde Xtra Therapeutic range. The Egg Bar, so called because of its oval shape, provides support of the horse’s weight with less direct pressure on the heels. An Egg Bar shoe can be applied on the hoof in the normal way but the back section of the oval distends past the buttress of the hoof.
An egg bar shifts the weight back toward the heel and supports that weight encouraging the hoof to grow more correctly.
For use on horses that get down on their bumpers or horses with gait problems.
