A palatable feed supplement recommended for all performance horses to support normal integrity and function of the lungs.
Maximal respiratory function is essential for optimal athletic performance. Issues such as allergic reactions to dust/pollution and conditions such as exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage (EIPH) or “bleeding” can have a significant impact on lung function and the welfare of the horse. Allergic reactions to dust and debris entering the lungs result in an inflammatory response, causing mucous production and narrowing of the airways. EIPH is the escape of blood cells into the lungs from the capillaries where gas exchange occurs, and subclinical disease is extremely common.
PulmonAID contains a combination of ingredients that work together to maintain the normal integrity and maximises the function of the lungs. Also aids in dissolving mucous and improving large airway clearance of fluid. The palatable daily feed additive controls the pulmonary inflammatory response.

Exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage (EIPH): After a horse has suffered a bleeding episode, spell the horse in a paddock for at least 8 to 12 weeks. While the horse is spelling, commence feeding PulmonAID at 60g (2 level scoops) per 500kg bodyweight per day.
Four days prior to a race or strenuous workout, increase to 120g (4 level scoops) per 500kg bodyweight per day, ensuring you comply with all relevant rules of the competition.
